The Process
How Culius
Works.
Certification. Deal book. Brokerage. A complete, self-contained process for any culinary asset — from a single recipe to an entire body of work. No lawyers required. Anonymous if preferred.
The Five Stages
From raw asset to closed deal — handled entirely by Culius.
01
First Conversation
Confidential & Without Obligation
Every engagement begins with a private conversation — no identity required if you prefer. You tell us what you have: a single recipe, a body of work, a technique, a concept, a strategy, an entire content library. We listen. We ask the right questions. By the end, we both know whether there is something worth packaging.
02
Scoping the Asset
Any Size, Any Form
Culinary IP comes in every shape. It might be one signature recipe. It might be a decade of recipes, blog posts, and technique guides. It could be a culinary concept, a brand strategy, a proprietary cooking method, or a fully developed curriculum. Culius works across the full spectrum — we scope exactly what exists and determine its value as a packaged asset.
03
Culius Certification
Establishing Ownership & Provenance
This is the foundation everything else is built on. Culius creates its own certification for the asset — documenting origin, authorship, scope, and uniqueness. Certification establishes clear, defensible ownership without requiring external legal filings. It is Culius's proprietary standard, designed for the realities of the culinary world.
04
The Deal Book
Packaging for the Market
Once certified, we build the deal book — a professionally structured document that presents the asset to potential buyers, licensees, or partners. The deal book defines what is on offer, what it is worth, and the terms under which it is available. This is the instrument that moves the asset from private ownership into a commercial conversation.
05
Brokerage
Finding the Right Match
With certification and deal book in hand, Culius brokers the asset to the right parties. We identify who needs what you have — whether that is a food brand, a publisher, a media company, a hospitality group, or a platform. We manage the introduction, the conversation, and the deal structure. You focus on your craft. We handle the transaction.
What We Handle
One recipe or an entire body of work — the process is the same.
Culius does not have a minimum. If it has culinary value and it belongs to you, we can certify, package, and broker it.
A single recipe
One dish, one method, one formula — certified and brokered as a standalone asset.
A recipe collection
A body of recipes — a series, a cuisine, a product line — packaged as a unified IP portfolio.
Recipes & blog content
A full content library including recipes, technique posts, editorial writing, and food stories.
A culinary concept
A restaurant concept, a food brand idea, a dining format — the intellectual architecture behind a business.
A technique or method
A proprietary cooking process, a preparation method, a signature approach that defines a chef's work.
A culinary strategy
A documented approach to a cuisine, a brand, a menu — strategic thinking with ownable value.
How We Operate
Four principles that govern every engagement.
Discretion Above All
1
Every conversation, document, and deal book developed with Culius is held in strict confidence. We do not disclose client relationships without explicit consent — ever.
Our Certification, Not a Courtroom
2
Culius certification is our own proprietary standard. It does not depend on external filings, lawyers, or courts. It is built for speed, clarity, and the realities of how culinary IP actually moves.
No Unnecessary Exposure
3
Scoping, certification, and deal book preparation are conducted in ways that do not put unprotected assets at risk. We are careful with your work at every stage.
Independent & On Your Side
4
Culius is a brokerage. We are not affiliated with any buyer, publisher, or platform. Every recommendation is made in your interest alone.
